Thought Patterns for Success - A Preface
Today, I’m going to start my series on the Lou Tice program, Thought Patterns for Success, from the Pacific Institute. As I’ve said in earlier posts, this program has done more than anything to contribute to my success mindset and personal growth. I’m now a facilitator for the program, and I enjoy sharing these principles with people everyday.
The best thing about Thought Patterns for Success is that it’s rooted in 4 main concepts. These concepts are simple, but they’ll produce results in your life when you put them into practice. You see, Lou Tice is an expert at showing people how the mind actually works.
Lou says, “we do not teach people what to think, we teach them how to think.”
Here are the 4 main concepts that the series is based on…
- Personal accountability - The future is in my own hands. I’m responsible for the results in my life. Blaming others or circumstances is not an effective way of dealing with life.
- Self-Efficacy - Success doesn’t rest on my abilities, instead it comes from my belief in my abilities. Learning how to believe in my ability makes things happen.
- Positive Self-Talk - I move toward what I think. This is an ancient principle that all great leaders have shared. My self-talk is the single most important thing in creating a successful future.
- End Result Thinking - Thinking in terms of the goal or possibility helps me achieve my potential.
There you have it. Each post in my series will be based on these 4 concepts.
I’m not selling Lou’s program. In other words, links in this series are not affiliate links. So, although I’m an internet marketer and make money online, I’m not selling anything here. You may see an occasional book link from Amazon, but any links to Lou Tice’s material are affiliate-free (in case that makes a difference to you).
This information has transformed my thinking and life results. I hope you find value in it. The next post will be about “what holds us back”. Until then…all the best!
